Needs a tail lamp assembly and a little PDR, but aside from that, it looks shocking ly clean!

I have no idea why they didn't leave the factory like that

I’m going to say probably not. We got my sister one of those as her first car. That color, in fantastic shape (actually was some grandmothers car) , with like 110K on it in 2002ish. It was cheap. It was a hunk of shit. To be fair, it was a hunk of shit the day it left the factory. The metal handle to adjust the seat fore-aft broke more than once in six months, and it was truly terrible to drive. It might be the worst car I’ve ever driven, and that counts the 90's Nissan Sentra. I feel it presented a compelling argument that malaise and just post-malaise GM should’ve ceased to exist.

Impressive, but it’s no Quad 4 - downtown Fairfax:

This guy has saves several hundred that were totalled. And has some other rebuild videos some of you may like.

Oh, I'm sure it's a piece of trash. But what American made 90s sedan wasn't?

my first car was a 1996 grand am, and through my thoroughly rose-colored lenses I look back fondly on it.

Not that particular one, no.

Good point. Although the jelly bean Ford Taurus was probably the ‘merican 90's sedan of choice. Styling choices aside, they actually drove okay for the time (especially with the 200hp DOHC engine option) .

Easy: the Kentucky-built Camry, Ohio-built Accord, and California-built Corolla.

That's true, the taurus was a step above when it came out

That's cheating

I had a white 95 and couldn’t agree more. First cars leave a huge mark on your soul.

That ain’t grand: *this* is grand. This i s THE grand - you can tell because it says so.

There’s a member in the oppositelock facebook group with a quad 4 manual in the same color and an exhaust .
